Canon T4i Causes Health Problems

No that is not a typo. Certain serial number runs of the Canon T4i can cause an allergic reaction in some people. And if it does not cause you to be ill, it will at least cause you to feel bad about buying the camera only to see the rubber grips turn white.

That is because Canon used a bit too much of a "rubber accelerant" in the mix for the rubber grips around the outside. The extra chemical will cause a reaction that will eventually turn the grips white, and in certain people, cause an allergic side affect.

...ooops...

So how do you know if you camera is affected? Just look at the serial number. If the 6th digit is a "1", then you have one of those affected models.
Canon is setting up a program in mid to late July to start fixing these cameras and swapping out the grips. Meanwhile, if you are affected, you will need to register your camera here.
