Yesterday was my first official day back at work from our first ever PhotoTips cruise, and I spent the majority of it on the phone and buried in email. I finally was able to pry myself away from my desk at about 2:30 to finally get out of my robe, take a shower, and put on real clothes. Not an image you wanted, I know....
Let me take a brief time out in this to tell you that I so much appreciate the moderating crew from Facebook. Those guys not only kept up with the Facebook group as always, but they also kept the website alive as well by finding and writing great guest post. They did a fantastic job. Thank you Norman, Brian, Marcie, Christopher, Steve, Robert, and Nikki. You rock.
If you did not get to go on the cruise, you really missed out. Wow what a great time everyone had. It was incredibly relaxing for all. I was able to hang out with some of them on extended basis, and we shared many laughs and had just an over all good time. I got so carried away with having fun, I ended up on top of a table at a seaside restaurant with a bunch of random strangers, all singing and doing the motions for the YMCA by the Village People. I know that image was passed around on Facebook saying I did it for free shots at the bar, but let the record show JIMMY DID NO SHOTS!
Many of you will ask if I have pictures. The answer to that is, very few. Why? Because this was a vacation for me. I wanted to relax. Not crawl around the sand looking for the right angle for the star fish on the beach. My camera was my phone, and that was it. Besides, my wife would have killed me...
But we will be showing all of the other pictures that everyone else took shortly. So stay tuned for some great sunsets.
GET READY TO DO IT AGAIN!
I am already in deep planning for the next summer cruise. This time we will be heading to Alaska in the first week of June! This will be a photographer's dream cruise. The landscape, the wildlife, the glaciers... It will all be amazing. The cruise will be 7 days long and sail out of Seattle. The starting cost will be close to $800 a piece as well, and I will have complete detailed information coming soon. Within the next 2 weeks. So stay tuned!

- Helicopter rides over a glacier
- Drive a team of sled dogs
- Take a 5 hour jeep trek through the wilderness
- Watch whales
- Get up close and personal to a glacier on a boat and hopefully see it calving
- Zip line 4,500 feet through the canopy of the old growth timber
- Pan for gold
- Float down rapids
- Guided Photo Safari by land and sea
- Ride a Steam train to the top of a mountain
- Take a carriage ride to an old hotel and have "high Tea" with your friends. (Thinking this is for the ladies)
- And sooooo very much more is possible.
Oh and one more thing... You will be able to write it off of your taxes because we will have dedicated business workshops. How cool is that?
