Dan Chung with the Guardian has been shooting the Olympics since the opening ceremony. Not once has he walked up to the Canon or Nikon Loaner desk and signed for some pro gear. Oh he wears the vest, and has the lanyard around his neck to identify himself as a photographer, but he does not carry three cameras and have tens of thousands of dollars worth of lenses attached. Instead, he has been shooting the entire thing with an iPhone, a pair of Canon binoculars, and some snap on Schneider lenses.
