Yesterday I ran a story and showed a behind the scenes video - which I will re-air for you here - of photographer Kevin Winzeler's heart breaking story of how a shoe company forced him to fly to the incredibly beautiful country side of New Zealand, to take some action pictures featuring their shoe. It was sad really. Poor guy having to fly around in a helicopter and shoot breathtaking images in breathtaking locations. What photographer would want to have to do that? ...Right?
Well anytime I run a story featuring the work of a photographer, I always reach out to them, let them know what I did, and provide them with a link to the article. I let them know that if there is anything that needs correcting, or even if they just want the story removed, please let me know ASAP.
Kevin did. He asked that I use other images that featured his watermark. He then provided me with a link to where those proofs were.
Holy cow are they good. I simply love his use of a wide angle lens. I could immediately relate because my favorite lens for weddings is the 16-35 F/2.8. I love the incredible perspective a wide angle lens can give when in the hands of someone that is used to using it.
Check out the below video - yet again - showing you his journey, and then check out the incredible portfolio generated from that shoot. There were many images that he linked me to, and this only represents about 10 percent of those shots.
