The Discovery Channel aired a fantastic documentary on birds called Winged Planet on Oct 6 through the 8th. If you missed it, you missed something worthwhile to watch. One of the things they did was mount small HD cameras to these birds and film them in flight from the birds perspective.
No mention on how they captured the birds, mounted the cameras, and - more importantly - how they got them back to retrieve the footage.
