On the heals of showing off Canon's new see in the dark sensor, here is a story about Panasonic creating a sensor that can see in 3D. Up till now, recording 3D images required dual lenses, but this new sensor has a lenticular lens built in. Very similar to the glasses you get at the movies. This new tech would allow a shooter to use any lens in their arsenal for capturing images in 3D. One drawback to using dual lens systems, is that there is a far distance limit in recording 3D. There is no word on how this new sensor would tackle that problem.
