John Noerr and his son report to the New York Times that they were chasing snakes in the Adirondacks when they happened upon a Canon Rebel buried in grime, and sitting under a foot of water.
While the camera was completely trashed, the images on the card were intact.
John then began using those images, along with Google, to eventually spot an address in New York. Though it took about three weeks of dead ends before he found it. When he contacted the owner of the address via Twitter, she said she had not lost a camera, but her brother had.
Bingo. Case solved. Pictures returned.

Wow. Amazing story to read. This is really strange that John Noerr while chasing the snake lost the camera and find it after a long time of three years. The most amazing thing here is that after a span of three years the images are yet perfect (not damaged). Really interesting but a little bit shocking. Central coast photography
